We service customers in part of Brentwood and part of Franklin. You can call our office to find out if your home or commercial building is in our district area. Mallory Valley does not provide sewer and/or landfill service.

Residential
In order to begin water service for your home, you must complete a Water Supply Contract and Application. There is also a $50.00 non-refundable fee to begin service. We ask that you submit the completed Contract, Application and $50.00 fee at least 48 hours before you wish the water service to begin. If you are not able to give the District 48 hours notice, we will do our best to connect your service as soon as possible.

If you have multiple meters on the property, such as seperate domestic and irrigation meters, your service fee will change.  The service fee is $50.00 per meter.

In addition, if your sewer service is going to be provided by the City of Franklin, you will need to complete an additional form - The City of Franklin Addendum.  We will pass this form onto the City for your sewer service to begin.

These are the two forms you need to complete and return to our office:

Form #1     Water Supply Contract

Form #2     Water Supply Application

Form #3     Residential Cross Connection Questionnaire

New Construction: Streamline Procedures
Mallory Valley's procedure to streamline the process for making application for commercial water service and getting the approval of proposed on-site and off-site waterline improvements is as follows:

  1. Request Application for water service from the District Office or download the Application from this website.
  2. Present completed Application, three (3) sets of preliminary construction drawings and final plat to the Mallory Valley Utility District Office during normal business hours. The District requires exclusive easements. A copy of the final plat shall be submitted to us at the same time it is submitted to the Planning Commission. If easements are required, present legal descriptions, reading metes and bounds, and attach an exhibit drawing of the easement to scale that is suitable for recording.
  3. The District's Staff will review the application, drawings and final plat. In order for these to be forwarded to the District's Engineering for approval, the application fee must be paid. This amount will be provided upon completion of the initial review process. If water line extensions are required, the District's Engineer will prepare an estimated construction cost estimate.
  4. After the review by Mallory Valley Utility District's Staff, which will normally be accomplished within a three (3) week review period, a member of the District's Staff will notify your company's contact person, in writing, of the required revisions or modifications that need to be made in order to obtain plan approval and/or water service. A set of drawings marked "For Correction and/or Review" will be provided to you to assist in your revision process.
  5. When all revisions and modifications to the construction drawings, final plat, legal description and exhibits have been completed, return the marked-up review copies to Mallory Valley Utility District's Office along with three (3) sets of the revised drawings.
  6. After the review by the District's Staff is completed, all documents will be forwarded to the District's Engineer for the final approval. We will contact you for execution of any easements. If there are any water line extensions to be done, a Performance Bond, in an amount equal to the construction cost estimate plus 15%, and an Irrevocable Letter of Credit will be needed.
  7. After final approval by the District's Staff and District's Engineer, your company will be notified of approval and the amount of applicable fees.
  8. Your company will present six (6) sets of the construction drawings and/or final plats to the District Office for signature. At this time, all applicable fees are to be paid.
  9. When your company has received State Approval and/or Planning Commission approval, present three (3) sets of the stamped and/or recorded plans to the District Office.

The above summarizes the procedures which must be followed in order to obtain water service from the District under our Rules and Regulations. The above information does not supercede the Rules and Regulations, which describe, in full detail, the procedures for water service to developments. Our District Rules and Regulations are available in our office.

It is imperative throughout this process that your contacts be directed to the District. Trying to make direct contact with the District's Engineer will only slow the process.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. If we all follow these guidelines, it will make the "approval process" less complicated and will expedite the project approval.
